Biotin: The new Queen B, It’s a hair-necessity

What is Biotin?

Biotin, otherwise known as vitamin B7, is vitamin that can be found in a wide range of foods at low levels.

What does it do?

Biotin (Vitamin B7) is thought to promote many health benefits, from improving metabolism and offering relief from some diseases, to relieving health problems related with skin and hair. Deficiency of Vitamin B7 can result in symptoms such as fatigue, hair loss, scalp issues and Anaemia. Biotin plays a key role in assisting the body in metabolizing proteins and processing glucose.

How does Biotin support hair growth?

It is important to know that your hair is made of a type of protein (called Keratin) to understand how Vitamin B7 promotes hair growth. Vitamin B7 reacts with cell enzymes, forming amino acids. In turn, this forms proteins which promote hair growth. Whilst Vitamin B7 cannot guarantee you long and beautiful tresses overnight, it will help to promote hair growth in the long run.
