Hair trends for 2017

With inspiration coming from all over – the streets, scrolling through Instagram or spying a gorgeous new hue on a colleague, there’s never been a better time to consider changing things up than right now at the beginning of 2017 when hair trends are forecast for seasons ahead. If you’ve even considered taking the plunge to be a fiery redhead or tempted to dip your feet into bleach territory – let us talk you through this year’s biggest hair trends.

So what do you say; new year, new you?

#1 Easy Texture

Embracing the natural texture of your hair is easier said than done. While we love the idea of that easy, natural texture, frizz and flyaways are what first come to mind. Downing hair tools and letting your hair fall loosely looks incredibly chic and effortless.

Excessive heat styling is a major cause of damage for your hair and we’re all wising up to this so any hair styles that require zero heat are winners in our books. Hair has its own natural movement so rather than running over this with straighteners in an effort to tame it, save yourself the time (and split ends) and let your hair style itself with easy texture.

If you’re concerned your hair may look a little too dishevelled for you, you can use a serum such as Shine Serum or Strengthening Oil and run some through the mid lengths to end to smooth hair slightly and add a healthy lustre to your hair.

#2 The Glossy Blowout

Hallelujah! The hair Gods have answered our prayers and gorgeous, glossy locks are back! If that isn’t hair perfection, what is? It’s time to dust off your blow dryer and practise a little wrist action as those voluminous blow outs you see at the salon are back in business and we’re doing them at home too.

While the ‘lob’ was big last year, people are growing their hair long once again and while they’re on their journey to reaching great new lengths, hair needs all the support it can get. Using Grow Gorgeous Hair Growth Serum will help speed this up with its complex blend of Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise the scalp and Bio-Active Pea Sprout to increase active hair growth.

#3 Fringe Benefits

Fringes are reappearing as a hair trend this year and we can certainly see why. There are so many benefits that come with sporting a fringe. It’s an instant update to your look if you’re not feeling going the whole way with a whole new hair length, it’s great for those days when you’re in a hurry and a quick fringe rinse comes to the rescue and saves the rest of your hair from looking dirty and best of all – it adds volume and frames your face.

There are many styles of fringes to suit your face shape. Be it short and blunt, blended into layers or a demure wisp of a fringe. It’s our new hairstyle crush.
